Healing is a Journey

I had another debilitating episode last month. It was close to the June New Moon. I did learn that

Walking and a lot of heel and big toe activation is a trigger.

Recovering from this episode was easier than the last. I felt I could handle it better. Though, I do hate the feeling of letting things go. I have accepted this is my life now. My life is different now, and I have the ability to make things better.

What does work for me is very long restorative yoga.

I always feel good as new, after some good yoga and rest. Be patient and move slow. I have been working on some ideas to help me become successful and happy. It is time to create the life I want to live. A healthy life where I can live and prosper in my hard work and efforts. I don’t have all of the answers but I know deep down inside it is all up to me.

Creating is becoming a great outlet for me. I feel productive and limitless. I feel great power from the things I make and do. I understand the use of my energy and efforts and I need to scale my efforts to produce a great lifestyle.

I must remember that nothing is permanent and be grateful for the times that I am performing during my peaks and to rest during the valleys. The more I understand the cycles of the moon and earth the more I feel connected to my body. The cycles of life is normal and irrefutable. It is apart of everyone’s journey.

Neurology

I finally had an over the phone appointment with neurology. The plan is to get an EMG done. This should help determine the state of my sciatic nerve and any damage that is being done to it. I am not sure when this test will happen with Covid-19 still around. I am nervous though. I hear an EMG is pretty painful and not a fun test. I think it will take me a while to recover if I have to produce a debilitating episode. This has been a slow process, all I can do is keep doing what is best for me.

Morning Routine

8am Wake up

8-8:30 Tongue Scrape, Oil Pull, and Brush

Drink Lemon, honey, ginger, Tea

840-10am Restorative Yoga with light strength and balance, 20min meditation

Night Routine

4:40-5pm Restorative yoga, 20min meditation

5-5:45 Dry brush, shower, Dinner

6pm Class or Kapha time (read)

  • Chakra Healing
  • Bath
  • Swim
  • Massage
  • Therapy
  • Music
  • Drawing
  • Journal
  • Rest
  • Paint
  • Medication: 1x or as needed Gabapentin, and Flexeril as needed
  • Eat 3x a day
  • Vitamin
  • Ayurveda inspired Dishes: 6 tastes
